Niagara River FishingSportfishing the Niagara River is unsurpassed. The rich waters that flow over the falls are a key draw for bait, Salmon, Bass and Steelhead. These fish are drawn by the swift Niagara River waters entering the Niagara Bar region of the Western basin of Lake Ontario, which allows the Niagara river to be a 12 month fishery.

  • Starting in May we fish the Eastern basin of Lake Erie for fantastic SmallMouth Walleye out of the Buffalo region of the upper Niagara River.
  • In June through October we move to the lower Niagara River for more Smallmouth Walleye.
  • In September we fish the lower Niagara River for the return of the King Salmon out of Lake Ontario.
  • Starting in November a fresh run of Steelhead move into the lower Niagara River, we fish Steelhead to the end of May. Also come into December we see great catches of Brown Trout.
  • Capt. Phil also runs Cast n' Blast trip for Pintails ducks migrating down from the Arctic.
  • As a 10 year river guide Capt. Phil is one of the hardest working guides on the Niagara River. Capt. Phil will put you onto some great fishing!
